"Right off the Reel" was composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer wikipedia:James_Scott_Skinner (1843-1927), and dedicated to "Mary Glennie, Strathdon." The Glennie family was a large one in Strathdon, and 'Mary' was a common name. There are several 'Mary Glennies' to whom Skinner may have referred to.
