RITA’S TEAROOM. Canadian, Jig. Canada, Cape Breton. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A modern composition by fiddler Brenda Stubbert (b. 1959, Point Aconi, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia). The tea house [1] in Big Pond, Cape Breton, once an old school building, was purchased by Canadian singer-songwriter Rita MacNeil in the mid-1980's and renovated in 1994 (the year of Stubbert's publication).
