ROAD TO CALIFORNIA. American, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is associated with the playing of fiddler Harold Luce (1918-2014), of Chelsea, Vermont. He was a member of the Ed Larkin Contra Dancers beginning in 1934, taught others to play, played at the Tunbridge Fair and two different World's Fairs in New York, and was in demand for local private and public events.
