ROBIN FILL THE DRINK ABOUT. Scottish, Reel (cut time). A Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Robin fill the drink about" was published in Cuminestown, Aberdeenshire, fiddler-composer, dancing master and postmaster William Christie's (1778-1849)1820 collection. Christie indicated it was an "Old" composition. Collector John Glen copied the tune and a few other of Christie's compositions into his own manuscript collection in 1879, but miscopied the initial three 'A' notes as 'G' notes in the first bar.
