ROCKFIELD COTTAGE, THE (Teachíní Ghort na gCloch). Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Brendan Breathnach suggested the title was a reference to a place very near source Grier’s house around Bohey, called "Newpark," in 'Gort Leitreach', Farnaught, County Leitrim, however, there is no "Rockfield Cottage" in the area. Fr. John Quinn points out "there is a 'Rockfield' in Granard town, in the area now occupied by Pat the Baker’s Bakery, and it may be to this that Grier is referring in the title, 'The Rock Field Cottage'. Grier may even have had some association with a cottage in Rockfield, Granard, before coming to Gortletteragh."
