RON GOODWIN'S HORNPIPE. Canadian, Hornpipe. C major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by New Brunswick fiddler Ron Goodwin. Goodwin was a member (with fellow New Brunswick fiddler Ivan Hicks) in the mid-50's to the early-60's of The Golden Valley Boys, who for seven years were well-known entertainers in concerts and radio shows in Eastern Canada. With the group the Four Fiddlers (Cy Steele, Cliff Hamilton, Rod Dorman and Ron Goodwin) they were a sometimes guests on Don Messer's TV programs. In 2012 he was inducted into the New Brunswick Country Hall of Fame.
