SÉAMUS CONNOLLY’S JIG [2]. AKA – “McKenna's Jig.” AKA and see "O'Meara's." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Séamus Connolly's Jig (2)" was composed under that title by the late County Tipperary fiddler Seán Ryan (d. 1985), and is included in his collection The Hidden Ireland. Seamus Connolly, who won the All-Ireland fiddle championship in 1961 and 1963. He is now director of Boston College’s famed Irish music program. It is a different tune than “Séamus Connolly's Jig (1)."

Source for notated version: - “based partly on the playing of Paddy Reynolds (1920-2005) of (Staten Island,) New York, who used it to accompany step dancers” [Miller & Perron].
