SAM HIDE'S JIG. AKA – “Sam Hyde’s Quickstep.” American, Jig or March (6/8 time). A Major (Cole, Howe, Ryan): G Major (Miller). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The first strain of "Sam Hide's Jig" is vaguely similar to the first stain of the Irish jig “Legacy (2) (The),” while the second strain is a shared cognate with the second strain of “Sweet Biddy Daly.”
