SANS SOUCI HORNPIPE. American, Hornpipe (2/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Sans Souci = 'carefree'. One of several tunes credited to G.L. Tracy in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection (1883). George Lowell Tracy (1855-1921) was a young man who later composed light opera and music composition books, according to musicologist Charles Wolfe (The Devil’s Box).
