SAW YE NOT MY MEGGY.  English, Air (3/2 time).  G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.  "Saw Ye Not My Meggy" was entered in the c. 1694 music manuscript collection of Northumbrian musician Henry Atkinson of Hartburn.  The title is nearly the same as "Saw ye nae my Peggy", printed by Oswald and McGibbon in the mid-18th century, and by Aird in 1788.  However, though the tunes share a rhythm and general similarity, they are not musically cognate.
