SCANT OF MONEY. English, Reel (whole time). D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Scant of Money" appears in a few English musicians manuscripts of the early 19th century, including one of the Browne Family manuscripts, Lake District Cumbria. The mss. are in several hands, and Book 11 is thought to have been the work of James Lishman, soon after the turn of the 19th century.
