SEAN McGLYNN’S FANCY. AKA and see “Johnny Allen's,” “Tinkerman's Wife (The).” Irish, Reel. D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA’BB’. Sean McGlynn was an accomplished B/C button accordion player and influential teacher, originally from Tynagh, east County Galway. The ‘dean of Irish accordion in New York, tragically, he was murdered on the streets of the city in 1983. He once told student Billy McComiskey, “There is nothing, nothing, you can do to improve this music.”
