SEQUETHIC. Old Time. Recorded by 1925 Tennessee fiddle champion Jess Young (Chattanooga, Tenn.) for Gennett Records, but the side was apparently unissued. Charles Wolfe thinks it is a misspelling of "Sequatchie Valley Hornpipe," "associated with Young and also played by Bob Douglas and his fiddling father, Tom Douglas" (The Devil's Box, Dec. 1981, vol. 15, No. 4, p. 54). Young was from the Sequatchie Valley.
