SHAKE IT UP SHANNAHAN. Irish, Hornpipe. Recorded in New York as a pipe solo musician Shaun O’Nolan (1871-1941), the “Wicklow Piper” for Columbia Records on 78 RPM (No. 33070F) in the 1920’s. "Gilda Ray" is listed as the first tune on the record label, but it is the second tune in the set (played as a reel), leaving the first tune, a hornpipe, as "Shake it up Shannahan." O’Nolan recorded a few piping solos, but then switched to recording vocals.
