SILVER SLIPPER (SLIP JIG). AKA - "An Slipéar Airgid," "Golden Slipper (The)." Irish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The tune is occasionally called “The Golden Slipper.” Andrew Pickering suggests the odd a part may be six bars of 6/8 rather that four of 9/8.
