SISTER JEAN [2]. AKA and see "King Pippin Polka (1)," "My Auntie Jean," "Tommy Beadle's." Shetland, Polka (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. The Shetland polka of this name is one of the few 'traditional' polkas from those islands (along with “Seven Step Polka” and “Bonnie Polka (Da)”); it possibly took its name from the 6/8 time "Sister Jean (1)" version tune (Cooke, 1986). However, it is a version of light classical composer D'Albert's "King Pippin Polka (1)."
