SKELLAMEFAGO. AKA and see "Don Pedro." English, Country Dance Tune (6/4 time). G Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The melody with directions for a country dance, was first published in John Playford's English Dancing Master [1] (1651), and was retained in each subsequent edition through the 8th edition of 1690 (probably the last edition John Playford was involved in before son Henry assumed the business). Starting with the 4th edition of 1670 it gained the alternate title of "Don Pedro" and it may be that one of the titles is a miss-hearing of the other.
