SMITH OF KILLIECHASSIE, THE. AKA - "Smith of Chilliechassie." Scottish, Reel (whole time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB (Athole, Martin): AA'BBCCDD (Skye). Originally a pipe tune often heard at competitions, it is also popular in fiddle versions. The tune was apparently composed by fiddler-composer biography:Duncan McKercher, as it appears in his collection "Original Strathspeys and Reels" (1824).
