'SNOWSTORM'. American, Reel (cut time). USA, Kentucky. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Darley Fulks (b. 1895), the source for "Snowstorm", was from Wolfe County, eastern Kentucky. He was recorded in the field by John Harrod in 1977, and remarked "Years ago I heard Olisa Hara (?) and Kimble play that tune. Oh, fifty years ago...and I'm satisfied that (they lived in Virginia and) it was from Virginia. We won a lot of contests with that tune. I'm satisfied I'm the only one in the whole country that remembers that tune."
