SOFT HORSE REEL. AKA and see “Rottweiler (The).” Scottish, Reel. A modern composition by accordion player Phil Cunningham. In an interesting twist, the tune was picked up by Irish musicians, although the original title was lost somewhere in the transition. At some point the title “The Rottweiler” became attached, and under the new title was re-introduced to Edinburgh session musicians.
