SOLDIER’S JOY [3]. American, Reel (cut time). USA, Arkansas. C Major. GCgd tuning (fiddle). "Soldier's Joy [3]" is an unusual version (in an unusual fiddle tuning) of the familiar “Soldier’s Joy”. It is distantly related to "Soldier’s Joy (1)” in the second strain only, and is unique to Arkansas fiddler 'Skeeter' Walden (who was recorded playing it in the field in 1951). ]
