SPANISH DANCE (2). USA (Western/Pacific). Waltz (3/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The Spanish Dance was a popular couple mixer in Sicilian circle formation which survives today as "Waltz Country Mixer." In spite of the title, it is not Spanish.


This tune comes from a music manuscript created by Joseph E. Sedlak, originally from Bohemia, who was a musician, music instructor, and dance band leader in Portland, Oregon in the 1860's and 1870's.
