SPRING'S WALTZ. American, Waltz (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was composed by biography:George Saunders of Providence, Rhode Island. Saunders was a music teacher (self-professed "Professor of Music and Dancing") and ran a music shop where he sold instruments and sheet music. He also was in demand as a dance caller and musician from 1820's until his death in 1850. An identical version was entered into the music manuscript collection of musician M.E. Eames, who may have been a resident of Philadelphia (judging from some of the contents in the collection).
