MIDNIGHT FROLIC, THE. AKA and see "Lady Kennedy's Reel," "Midnight Frolic." English (?), Irish (?); Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The reel appears as "Lady Kennedy's Reel" in the large mid-19th century music manuscript collection of Canon James Goodman (County Cork). In the 20th century folklorist Peter Douglas Kennedy (1922-2006) collected it as "Midnight Frolic".
