STONE IN THE FIELD [2], THE. AKA and see "Maid in the Meadow (1)," "Mist on the Meadow (2)." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune has had a number of names, although most often called "annotation:Maid in the Meadow (1)." It is a triple-time version of the reel “Greenfields of America (1).” See also “Molly Brallaghan (1).” The tune was recorded by pipers Tom Ennis and by Séamus Ennis.
