TÀLADH CHRÌOSTA (Christ Child's Lullaby). Scottish, Slow Air (3/4 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. "wikipedia:Tàladh Chrìosta" is thought to have been composed in the mid-19th century by Father Ranald Rankin and is a lullaby that tells the story of the nativity. It is traditionally sung at midnight Mass on the Island of Barra in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The song was popularized in the early 20th century by Marjory Kennedy-Fraser under the title "The Christ-Child's Lullaby."
