TEA ROOM, THE. English, Jig (6/8 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "The Tea Room," a jig and country dance, was first published in London by John Johnson in his Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances (1744, p. 81). It was also published by David Rutherford in Rutherford's Compleat Collection of 200 of the most Celebrated Country Dances (1756, p. 91).
