Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. “Condon's Frolics” and “Digging for Gold” are related tunes. O'Neill's setting of the tune in A major seems a rare mistake; tune should be set in A dorian, and would also tolerate a mixture of dorian/mixoldyian. Perhaps noting the problem with the tonality caused O'Neill to drop the tune from his subsequent volume, Dance Music of Ireland (1907).
