THREE BEES IN THE HONEY. American, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. The tune was in the repertoire of Barnesville, Ohio, fiddler John W. Hutchison (1915-1979), who had many of his tunes from one ‘old man’ Bondy, and Irishman, according to Kerry Blech. Hutchison’s sons were in a bluegrass band with fiddler Greg Dearth, and many of the father’s tunes were disseminated via that route.
