TOMEEN O’DEA’S REEL. AKA – “Thomaisin O’Dea’s," "Tomin Adea.” AKA and see "Come into the Room I Want You (2)," "Little Bag of Potatoes (1)," "Mrs. Halpin's Favourite," "Colin Boyd's Favourite." Irish, Reel (4/4 or cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune closely shares melodic material with “tSeanbhean Bhoch (An)t” and “Bantry Bay Hornpipe (1),” with which it is paired in the Tubridy book. See also piper O'Farrell's related “Glenmore Hunt (The)” and Rev. Luke Donnellan's cognate reel "Come into the Room I Want You (2)." The alternate title "Mrs. Halpin's Favourite" possibly may refer to County Limerick born dance and musician Teresa Halpin (1894-1983).
