TOWN OF COOTEHILL, THE. Irish, Jig (6/8 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddler and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). Cootehill is the town nearest the village of Barnagrove, County Cavan, where Reavy was born. Reavy revisited the place in the late 1960's and thought it little changed from his boyhood.
