TRIP TO BALLYSHANNON. Scottish, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser, notes Susan Songer (Portland Collection), to commemorate his honeymoon in Ireland in 1987, when the newlywed couple simply toured the island at whim in an old VW camper.
