TRIP TO GALLAWAY. AKA and see "Britannia's Promise." English, Reel (whole time) and Country Dance Tune. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Trip to Gallaway" was earlier printed in John Hinton's Universal Magazine (1757) as "Britannia's Promise." The first strain is also quite similar, possibly cognate, to the first strain of Francis O'Neill's reel "Push about the Jorum (2)."
