TWO AND TWO. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The air melody with directions for a country dance was published in London by Charles and Samuel Thompson in both their Collection of Twenty-Four Country Dances for 1763 and Compleat Collection of 200 Fashionable Country Dances (vol. II, p. 100, with tunes “Perform’d at Court, Bath, Tunbridge, & all Publick Assemblies”).

Two and Two is also the name of a Scottish Country Dance.
