Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen, Union Bridge and Union Terrace late 1920's [1]

The strathspey "Union Street Bridge" was composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer Biography:Alexander Walker. Union Street, constructed in the early 19th century, runs for a mile through the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. One of its features is the Union Street Bridge, which spans two hills and the Denburn Gorge with a single arch, proposed by consulting engineer Thomas Telford. The completed structure was considered an engineering marvel of its time.
