VALANTINE'S DAY IN THE MORNING. AKA - "Valentine's Day in the Morning." English, Air and Country Dance Tune (9/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Valentine's Day in the Morning" is the indicated tune for Air 1 in Joseph Yarrow's ballad opera Love at First Sight;or, the Wit of a Woman (1742). Yarrow was a rather obscure comic actor, whose play was produced in York. The first line of the song is:
