VALSE À KATHLEEN (Kathleen's Waltz). Cajun, Waltz. USA, Louisiana. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA(Vocal)ABB(Vocal)ABBAABB. The tune was named for a daughter of Sady Courville, Dennis McGee's longtime musical partner. Related tunes, according to Raymond Francois (1990), are Carrie "Mignonne" Royer Miller's "Valse des Grands Bois (1)" and The Walker Brothers' "Breakdown La Louisiane."
