VILLAGER'S WALTZ. English, Waltz (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Villager's Waltz" was the work of German composer, conductor, virtuoso pianist, guitarist, and critic wikipedia:Carl_Maria_von_Weber (1786-1826) for his 1821 opera Der Freischütz (The Marksman). Weber was one of the first significant composers of the Romantic era. The waltz was entered into the mid-19th century music manuscript collections of C.J. Fox (1831) and William Winter[1] (1850), a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset.
