VINCENT CRAWFORD’S TUNE. Old-Time, Quadrille. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'B. The tune is from the playing of Vincent Crawford of Avenstoke, Anderson County, Kentucky, recorded in 1979 by Gus Meade and John Harrod, and again in 1985 by John Harrod. Crawford identified the tune as having a Canadian provenance, and played it a a stately quadrille pace, rather than a fast breakdown.
