VIRGINIA. American, Air. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A shape-note hymn tune by Oliver Bronson, here used as a march by Alstead, New Hampshire, fiddler Randy Miller. Bronson, a composer and director of music, composed it and other pieces for his publication Select Tunes and Anthems (1783). The hymn was printed by White and King in 1844 in The Original Sacred Harp [1], and in Missouri Harmony (1837).
