W. MORRISON'S FAVORITE. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Morrison says the tune was "Composed by a Gentleman, of whose numerous acts of experienced humanity, the Author of this Collection shall ever retain the most lively sensations of gratitude." It seems likely the tune was composed by his probable patron, Major H.R. Duff (see note for "annotation:Mr. H.R. Duff's Favorite" for more).
