WATERLOO (WALTZ), THE. English, Waltz. G Major (‘A’, ‘B’ parts) & D Major (‘C’, ‘D’ parts). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The waltz is contained in the c. 1829-33 music manuscript collection of C.J. Fox of Beverly, east Yorkshire (housed in the Kidson Collection at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow). "Waterloo Waltz" was also entered into the mid-19th century Sliabh Luachra music manuscript once in the possession of D. Curtin of Stagmount, Rockchapel, Co Cork (No. 86, p. 38 [1]).
