This unfortunate title appears in a list of traditional Ozarks Mountains fiddle tunes compiled by musicologist/folklorist Vance Randolph (1892-1980), published in 1954. Randolph recorded the tune for the Library of Congress [AFS 05379 B03] from the playing of fiddler biography:Lon Jordan of Farmington, Arkansas, in December, 1941.
