WHISKEY AND BRANDY. AKA - "Whisky and Brandy." AKA and see "Humors of Ballinaraheen," "Glass of Potheen (A)," "Shamrock (Jig) (The)." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is a version of "Castlebar Races," the second in a pair of jigs (with "Unfortunate Rake (1) (The)") recorded in New York by Sligo fiddler Michael Coleman, under the single title “Up Sligo.” See also the related single jig "Whiskey and Water" in O'Neill's Music of Ireland (1903).
