WHITE'S POLKA. American, Polka, Quadrille or Reel (cut time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "White's Polka" was in the repertoire of Effingham, central-south Illinois, fiddler Harvey "Pappy" Taylor (1894-1987). It may have derived from a polka or quadrille, but Taylor played it with speed and set as a reel.
