WHITE HORSE [5], THE. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The tune, which appears unique in published collections to London publisher Charles and Samuel Thompson’s 1765 country dance collection, was included by Massachusetts fiddler Whittier Perkins in his music commonplace book of 1790.
