WHITE RAPIDS BREAKDOWN. AKA - "Rapides Blancs (Le)." Canadian, Reel (2/4 time). The reel was composed in 1965 by Miramichi region, New Brunswick, fiddler Matilda Murdoch, who has over 200 tunes to her credit. She is a self-taught musician and (in 2016) was still playing daily at age 96. Murdoch is known as "The Sweetheart of Loggieville" and was appointed to the Order of Canada and the Order of New Brunswick.
