WIDOW'S DELIGHT, THE. English, Jig and Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was first printed in London by John Johnson in his Choice Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 3 (1744, No. 200, p. 100), and later by John Walsh Jr. in his Compleat Country Dancing-Master. Volume the Fifth (1754, p. 102).
