WIFE SHE BREWED IT, THE. Scottish, Strathspey (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune is sometimes played in the key of 'A', for easier fingering on the fiddle. The melody was perhaps used by the composer Bartók in his Viola Concerto, first and last movements.
