WIGGINGTON WINDWILL. English, Country Dance Tune (2/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.

There are a number of Wiggintons in England. However, there is one Wigginton, with occasional reference to it as Wiggington, near York, North Yorkshire [1] which used to have a pub called The Windmill Inn. It ceased to be a pub in July 1939 and is now a private residence called Windmill House [2]. My supposition is that this is the the village and pub referred to in the title of this tune. Given it is published in A Northern Lass (1995), this more northerly village is also likely. I [Taz Tarry] have not been able to find any other information on, or source for, the tune.
